The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it is actually alarmed regarding the high amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The company position established for intervention experiences a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, website SASSA will mobilise extra sources to empower the servicing of all shoppers and boost use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
